This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 25, 2007:
I'm in my element - on a lake, backpacking at the end of summer. I think I dove into that lake moments after that picture was taken. It was at a time of new romance blooming - fond memories of that time.
Also, having water represented is important. I am a water sign (cancer) and water is so therapeutic for me. I know it can be wasteful, but I love taking long showers. I also love hot baths and doing the dishes by hand.

This photo is from my first year at Burning Man … significant in that I had purchased my first ticket 8 years prior, kept trying to get there, but never did. The day I finally arrived, I felt like I had finally come home! It was so great to be a part of something I yearned for.
Today is the 19th anniversary of my brother Peter's death from AIDS. It seems like yesterday we were laughing together and tripping around San Francisco. God, I miss him so very, very much.
you left a comment on a blog of mine(I deleted all my blogs after, not sure why),I remember thinking how you looked so full of life and energy,I like this picture now i know why.
Soozi, I am so sorry for your loss but it's wonderful you're still honoring your brother's presence. He hear's your thoughts and is looking after you. I still haven't made it to Burning Man. I almost did this year but too much last-minute planning for a BM Virgin was too much work. I'll try again in '08. Maybe we'll run into each other on the Playa!!
Bridget,
Thanks for your comment! Yes, I was full of energy & life in this picture. It was taken in September of 2003. Good times! : )
